Rising City, NE. Passed away at the Butler County Healthcare Center in
David City. He was born in Kansas City, MO, the son of Joseph M. and Eudora
(Cooper) Good. He attended public schools in Topeka, KS and Grandview,
MO, graduating from Grandview High School.
He attended Kansas City Junior College. Larry played professional baseball
for several years in the Chicago Cubs farm system playing second base
for the Janesville Wisconsin Cubs and shortstop for the Blackwell Oklahoma
Broncos. He then toured and performed professionally in the field of country
music for over 40 years, working with many of the Nashville legends and
appearing in every state except Hawaii, with his bands the Countrymen
and the Good Times. He co-founded Lari-Jon Music publishing company.
In the mid-1980's he helped launch a TV country music show called "Country
with a Touch of Brass", which was viewed throughout Nebraska.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jennifer Bockholt Good, Rising City, NE;
one son Larry Max Good of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Kathy Kenigson
and her husband Roger of Springfield, TN; grandson Jonathan Kenigson;
granddaughter Jessica Kenigson; and a sister, Dixie and her husband Bob
Kelley of Topeka, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents.
