James Lawrence Gilbert

James Lawrence Gilbert went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Born June 1st, 1940, Jim lived every area of his life with passion, as a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend.

Born in Colorado Springs, but a true Californian, Jim's life & career path was rich: SoCAL teenager, Fresno State Football player (GO Bulldogs!), pitcher for the Dodger's minor league organization, Hairstylist to the stars in the 60's, then Orange County and Tahoe Realtor before settling into Carpet Sales & Installation and making Visalia his home of the last 26 years.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of almost 34 years Joan, son Joshua, daughter Jamie and her husband Benjie, daughters Shelli, Dayna, Kelli and her husband Frank, 10 grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 4/4/09 at 3 pm, Kings Christian Fellowship, 1461 N 10th Ave Hanford, CA.
