Harry J. Fredericks Battle Creek Harry J. Fredericks, 81, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at his residence.

Harry was born on June 19, 1929, in Detroit, MI, the son of Joseph and Marie (Andryzck)Fredericks. He was a lifelong resident of the Battle Creek area. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. On August 30, 1953, he was united in marriage to the former Maxine R. Lambeth who survives.

Harry had played professional baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1949 to 1951. He enjoyed fishing, golf, horse races and being with his family.

Surviving is a nephew, Richard (Yvonne) Gutierrez of Haslett, MI.

Visitation will be held today from 3 to 5:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2010, at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
