Robert Adair (Soapy)Age 88 of Nashville, TN. March 18, 2013. Preceded
in death by the love of his life, wife, Juanita Reynolds; parents, Robert
A. Frech, Sr. and Fannie Elizabeth Cotham; sister, Faye Parham.
Survived by son, Bob (Sharon); grandson, Robert Jason (Sheena) and granddaughter,
Cortney Pendley (Justin), and great- grandson, Robert Grayson Frech.
"Soapy" grew up on Greenwood Ave. in East Nashville with wonderful
friends like "Moon", "Slug", "Wort", "Mutt"
and "Mullins" just to name a few. He graduated from East High
in 1943 and was an Army Medical Corpsman, serving in Italy during WWII.
Returning home in 1946, he played minor league baseball for a short time,
prior to beginning a 35 year career with the telephone company.
"Soapy" loved the outdoors and sports. He played city league
baseball (NABRICO), was a well-known local golfer (Bluegrass CC, Shelby
and Two Rivers Municipal courses), an avid duck hunter (Springville bottoms)
and a die-hard Vanderbilt Commodore fan. He was a long time member of
Eastwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where for many years,
he taught the Kindergarten Sunday School class, worked with the property
committee, served as a deacon and later as an Elder.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m.,
at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, and on Friday, March 22nd at Eastwood
Christian Church (1601 Eastland Ave.) from 11 a.m. till 12:45 p.m., prior
to A Celebration of Life held at 1 p.m. Rev. Jay Hartley officiating.
Interment Spring Hill Cemetery.

Forrester Sullivan, Mike Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers: Owen and Jo Sanders,
Elders and Deacons of Eastwood Christian Church, and members of the Cooper
Creek Fishing Association.
