FOX, Kenneth W.
82, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. Kenneth
was born December 25, 1927 to Cloyce Wilfred and Mary Irene (Bennett)
Fox in Middletown, OH. He retired from Borden Milk Company in 1993 where
he had worked in retail and as a deliveryman for 46 years. A member of
Mary Help of Christians Church in Fairborn, Kenneth was also founder of
the Greene County Officials Association.
He was inducted in the Amateur Dayton Baseball and Fast Pitch Soft Ball
Hall of Fame and the O.H.S.S.A. Hall of Fame in 1991 and played in the
Cincinnati Reds organization from 1946 to 1950.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara J. Fox in 2001;
and granddaughter, Emily Fox in 1978.
Kenneth is survived by his sons, Mike (Shelly) Fox of Clearwater, Fl.,
Tim Fox of Fairborn, OH., Pat (Cherie) Fox of Huber Heights, OH., and
Tom (Lori) Fox of Beavercreek, OH; daughter, Mary (Mark) Garver of Ada,
OH; cousins, Bobby Montgomery, Harold Montgomery, John Fox, Vera Gay Gentry,
and Gladys Norton; ten grandchildren, Teresa and Alicia, Jessica, Tanya,
Ryan, Jason, Beth, Danielle, Chris, Jennifer; and two great grandchildren,
Lily and Nolan.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Burcham
Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, OH with Mass at Mary Help of
Christians Church in Fairborn at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 23 with Father
Charles Lang officiating.
Burial will follow at Springboro Cemetery.
