Michael T. Forline 88, of Cape Coral, FL formerly of Durham, CT, passed away on April 6, 2010 in Cape Coral. He was born December 23, 1921, in Durham, CT. Mike was born on the family farm and left the farm to pursue his dream as a professional baseball player. "Magic Mike" as he was known played for the Boston Braves Organization and the Carolina League for 13 years, where he still holds the title of the "Winningest Pitcher." After his baseball career, Mike sold life insurance for a number of years before moving back to CT where he and his brother owned and operated The Durham Inn; and was a member of the Chapel of Notre Dame. After his retirement, Mike and his wife spent much time sailing on the Long Island Sound. Mike, beloved by his family, enjoyed vacationing with them swimming, golfing and sightseeing. Mike and Betty moved to Cape Coral in 2004. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel comfortable. he will be missed for having touched so many people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Gina, two brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Betty; sons, Drew and Todd (wife, Laura); grandchildren, Drew, Lily and Chloe; two nephews and two nieces.

Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday, April, 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fuller Cape Coral Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, FL 239-542-3161, condolences and sympathy on line.
