Timothy J. Fiori,
88, of Manchester, died Sept. 9 at home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Fiori was born in New York City, raised in Brooklyn and was a resident
of Staten Island, NY for 40 yrs before moving to NJ.
Mr. Fiori graduated from St. John's University before entering the Navy
and serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
After his return from the service, Mr. Fiori played AAA baseball for a
year before joining the New York City Police Dept.
Following his retirement as a sergeant from the NYPD, he enjoyed a second
career as an Account Executive with AT&T before final retirement in
1986.
The Leisure Village West resident enjoyed a good round of golf, bowling,
gardening, and traveling the world with his wife.
Mr. Fiori was a member of the NYPD 10-13 and the Lakehurst VFW 10016.
Considered a Renaissance man by many, he loved discussing current events
with his family and friends, and his keen wit will be missed by all.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years Inez Murphy Fiori; son Timothy Fiori;
his three daughters, Ellen F. Roche, Susan F. Twomey, Ann F. Hockenjos;
his daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Fiori; his two sons-in-law, Daniel J. Twomey,
William F. Hockenjos; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy Monday 10 AM at St John's Church
Lakehurst with interment to follow at Brigadier Gen Wm C Doyle NJ Veterans
