ENNIS – Mike Ferryman, 91, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at the Madison Valley Manor at Ennis.
Mike was born
May 24, 1921, at St. Louis to Garnet and Constance (Perry) Ferryman. He
was raised in a catholic orphanage in Quincy, Ill. He later lived with
his father in Denver and Lakewood, Colo. He graduated from high school
in 1939 from Molene, Ill. He then played baseball during spring training
with the Boston Red Sox and then the Brooklyn Dodgers.
He enjoyed golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul Ferryman, who passed away on Sept. 17, 2010.
Survivors include his children, Sheila (Jim) Hill of Helena, Bridget (John) Dale of McAllister and Patrick (Anne) Ferryman of Missoula; seven grandchildren, Kevin Wall, Steven Hill, Michael Hill, Justin Ferryman, Shawn Ferryman, Brian Dale and Brendon Dale; two great-grandchildren, Ricky Dale, and Grace Ferryman.

Mass of Christian
burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21 from St. Patrick Catholic
Church in Ennis with Father Joseph Finnegan officiating. Interment with
military honors will follow at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at
Fort Harrison Friday, Sept. 21, at 2:30 p.m.
