John Feltman

John L. "Jack" Feltman, 76, of Lebanon, Ill., born Oct. 10, 1931, in Lebanon, Ill., died at 12:11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Cedar Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon, Ill.

Mr. Feltman was a retired teamster and laborer at Local 670, O'Fallon, Ill. He was a member of Laborer's Local 670 in O'Fallon, Ill. Jack played basketball and baseball at O'Fallon Illinois High School. He coached American Legion Ball and Greater St. Clair County League. He had also played minor league ball in the Cardinals Organization and was voted into the Mon-Clair Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002. Jack was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing his vegetables.

He was preceded in death by two sons, John Jr., and Todd Feltman; his parents, William E. and Hester, nee Rabel, Feltman; and a brother, William Feltman Jr.

Surviving are his beloved, Sarah Horne of Lebanon, Ill.; his four children, Renee (Shawn) Hughes of St. Louis, Mo., Steve Feltman of Belleville, Ill., Amy Sudholt of Aviston, Ill., and Jeff (Susan) Feltman of Ashley, Ill.; Sarah's sons, Ronald (Carrie) Horne of Shiloh, Ill., and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Horne of Ripon, Calif.; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Michael, Justin and Alexander; Sarah's five grandchildren, Malissa, Cheyna, Wyatt, Amanda and Christyn; three sisters, Virginia (Ted) Honer of Belleville, Ill., Lois Rizzie of Hazelwood, Mo., and Carol Elledge of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Robert (Terri) Feltman of St. Louis, Mo.; Sarah's brother and sister, Una (Rether) Johnson of Lebanon, Ill., and Walker (Judy) Wolford of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and his furry friends, Mister, Screech, Pye, Spooky and Misty.
