The Obit For Clark Esser

William Esser

Esser, William Clarkson (Clark) Deeply loved and forever in our hearts, Clark Esser stepped into his Heavenly Father's presence on October 30, 2012 at the age of 95. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home in Orange, CA. Because of his personal faith in Jesus Christ, he is now beginning eternal life with his Lord and Savior and has been reunited with his beloved wife of 73 years, Ruby Jim Esser.

He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1917, but lived the majority of his adulthood in Southern California. Clark's entire life as husband, father of John, Steven and Chris, grandfather and great grandfather was focused on fulfilling God's purpose and calling for his life. This is expressed so well by his life verse, Proverbs 22:4"By humility and the fear of the Lord, are riches and honor and life".

As a young man, Clark attended UCLA, played professional baseball, served in the Air Force just to highlight a few accomplishments. He was a master building contractor-building churches locally and throughout the US. He was a life-long member of Calvary Church of Santa Ana, for which he was the contractor.

The word "retirement" was never in his vocabulary. At the age of 78, he took on the task of building Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky that seats 10,000 people. This project was finished when he was 88 and is a testimony of what Clark always said, "Don't hang up your cleats until you cross the goal line." HE FINISHED WELL!

While he is sorely missed, his time on earth will continue to be a Godly influence to his family and others forever!

A celebration of Clark's life will take place on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church of Santa Ana located at 1010 N. Tustin Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705.
