Flemington native
Zigmond Emery has died; lived in Levittown and once worked for Levitt
the home builder Born in Flemington on Sept. 8, 1923, a son of Zigmond and Theresa Emery, he had lived in the Levittown area for the past 58 years. A 1941 graduate of Flemington High School, Mr. Emery was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was formerly a construction manager for Levitt and Sons, Levittown, Pa., then worked for the Hovnanian home-building firm in the same capacity. A standout baseball player, Mr. Emery played minor league baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies farm system. A daughter, Suzanne Mattingly, died in 2005. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Beatrice Turner Emery; a daughter, Teresa Kleingunther of Sellersville, Pa.; and four grandchildren. Services: Graveside services on Wednesday, March 17, 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington.
