James Frances Ehrler
"Jimmy", of San Antonio, entered into the arms of our Lord on
Monday, February 23, 2010 at the of age 81. Born on October 4, 1929, in
San Antonio,
Jimmy was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and the University
of Texas at Austin. As an Eagle Scout and member of the University of
Texas Hall of Fame,
Jimmy was a true Texas Legend best known as the first person in history
to pitch a no-hitter in the College World Series.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Scottie Edwina Chamberlain;
his sister Florence Mosel; daughters, Sandy Ash and Jamie Eismann; son,
Pat Ehrler; and grandchildren, Brandon and Ryan Ash; and Weston and Tanner
Eismann.
Jimmy was loved and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February
26, 2010 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
