Henry M. Drizmala, 88, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born March 21, 1919 in Weirton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Sophie Haber Drzymala. Henry was also preceded in death by his wife Laura Warszynski Drizmala on December 17, 1991; brother Edward Drzymala and sisters Helen Drzymala and Stephanie Bowling.

With 43 years of service, Henry retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a supervisor in the Mechanical Department of the Tin Mill. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, WSX 25-Year Club, American Legion Post 10, AARP, Three Score Seniors, Four Seasons Senior Citizens, FOPA. Henry was a minor league baseball player, having played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was an avid bowler and gardener. He served in the US Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his son Thomas and his wife Luanne; daughters Linda Romitti and her husband Tom all of Weirton and Janice Boni and her husband Mario of Follansbee, WV; sisters Laura Czech of Canton, Ohio and Valerie Gabriel and Marie Rumics both of California; grandchildren Andrew Romitti, Mario Boni and Mary Green.

Friends will be received Friday 3-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Larry Dorsch will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery where Military Services will be conducted by the American Legion Firing Squad.
