James M. Drake Sr.

A resident of New Iberia, LA, Mr. Drake went home to the Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2008 .

Mr. Drake was born in Jackson-ville, FL, to the late Benjamin C. and Della Drake of Dillsburg, PA. He was a graduate of Dillsburg High School Class of 1945 and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He and his brother Ben, both played professional baseball.

He was also a 32nd Degree Mason with a lifetime membership in the Eureka Lodge # 302 F. & A.M., Mechanicsburg.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ben C. Drake; and sisters, O. Virginia Crowding and Margaret D. Cromer.

Surviving are his sister, Frances D. Gable of echanicsburg; 4 children, and 11 grandchildren.

Interment will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
