Louis W. Dolci, 80, of Summit, N.J., passed away in his home on Thursday,
Aug. 5, 2010.
Visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave.,
Summit, N.J., on Sunday, Aug. 8, from 2 to 6 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 9,
at 11 a.m. Committal services are private. For directions or to send condolences,

Mr. Dolci was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and lived in Summit for 48
years. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served from 1951 to 1953.
Louis was a professional baseball player who played for the St. Louis
Cardinals from 1949 to 1955, where he was a former roommate of Earl Weaver.
He also played for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Louis was the executive vice president of Torcon Corp. in Red Bank, N.J.,
where he worked for 42 years before retiring 14 years ago.
He was a member of the Fairmount Country Club in Chatham, N.J., where
he had previously served on the board of governors, and was a seven- time
club champion at Penn Brook Golf Course in Basking Ridge.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife, June (nee Jantz). He was the loving
father of Lisa Adams and her husband, Chris; Steven Dolci and his wife,
Lori; Lorna Dolci, and Lanna Wisniewski and her husband, Fred; cherished
grandfather of Nicole, Samantha, Steven Jr., and Logan, and dear brother
of Charles and the late Anthony.
