William I. " Bill"
Diemer, 80, Deltona, Florida ,died Friday, March 23, 2012 at Halifax Health
Hospice of Volusia Flagler, Orange City, Florida.
Bill was born July 21, 1931 in Woodslee, Ontario, Canada to Frank and
Mary Dunn Diemer. He moved to Deltona in 2004 from Brighton, Michigan.
In the 1950's Bill was a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles and retired
in 1986 as a systems analyst for Chrysler Corp., Detroit after 25 years
Bill raised Fantail Pigeons which he also showed and served as a Judge
at many shows.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Bondy; two brothers, Fran
& Ray Diemer; and a daughter, Rosanne Diemer. Bill is survived by
his wife of 60 years - Joyce Diemer; son Wayne I. Diemer of South Lyon,
Michigan; daughter Deborah Diemer of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Clare Catholic
Church, 2961 Day Rd., Deltona, Florida with Fr. Carlos Bedoya officiating.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial donations to the American
Cancer Society, American Lung Association or the Heart Association.
Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, Florida
is in charge of arrangements.
