DelVECCHIO, William D. "Bill" Of Randolph formerly of Somerville passed away Sept. 5, 2010 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Shirley (Leatherman) DelVecchio and the late Mary Ellen (Kenerson) DelVecchio.

Loving father of Kerri Ginsberg and her husband Jason of Randolph, Alicia Cesana and her husband Marc of Providence, RI. Step-father of Patricia Hardt and her husband Bruce of Virginia Beach, VA and Roanne Rebello of RI. Brother of John DelVecchio of NH and Edward and Robert DelVecchio both of MA. Dear "Papa" to Katie DelVecchio, Jonathan DelVecchio, William Ginsberg, Abbie Ginsberg, Marc Cesana Jr. and Hunter Hardt. Also survived by his dear friend Michael Finegold of Randolph.

Bill was born in Somerville where he grew up and was educated. He was a graduate of Amherst College, Amherst MA. He was a Research and Development Chemist for W.R. Grace-Hampshire Co. where he has worked for the past 35 years.

He was a former professional baseball player for the Cleveland Indians Minor League Team.

Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St., RANDOLPH, MA until 10:30 AM Sat. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Mary Church, Randolph.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.

Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
