Jamon Todd Deal of
Lenoir, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at his residence. He
was born May 4th, 1970, in Conover, NC. He graduated from Bunker Hill
High School, graduated from UNC-Asheville with a degree in business.
He was drafted after UNC-A by the Seattle Mariners, as a pitcher for their
minor league team, the Appleton Foxes.
He was employed by Morrisette Paper & Packaging as an outside salesman
in Hickory.
He loved playing golf and all sports.
He brought sunshine to everyone he knew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Nora Belle Deal
and James and Melva Fox.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Lockhart Deal; four children, Lauren
Sprinkle and husband Brandon, Jordan Robinett and fiance Stephanie Nutter,
Mackenzie Robinett, and Bentley Deal.
He was Grampie to two grandchildren, Grayson Barnett and Raegan Sprinkle,
and one on the way.
He is also survived by his parents Steve and Kay Fox Deal. One brother,
Brad Deal and wife Tammi. One sister, Stephanie McClellan and husband
David. Father-In-Law, Jay Lockhart and Mother-In-Law and Step Father-In-Law,
Claudine and Claude Marshall.
He was a wonderful uncle to the following nieces and nephews; Zachary
and Keaton Deal, Alyona and Crawford McClellan, Chase and Cara Richardson,
Haley Lockhart, Sydney Lockhart, and Hannah Monds.
Pallbearers will be Brad Deal, Anthony Lockhart, Ben Lockhart, Jordan
Robinett, Chris Davis, Brian Deese, Brandon Sprinkle, and David McClellan.
Honorary pallbearers are Jack Richardson, Chase Richardson, Doug Dye,
Larry Puett and Zachary Deal.
The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at Pendry's Funeral
Home from 6 until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb.
26, 2011 at Pendry's Chapel at 11 a.m. with Pastors Keith Gilliam and
Barry Absher officiating.
Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory at 1 p.m.
