HUFFMAN, Texas - Robert
"Bob" Joseph Danaher, 63, of Huffman Texas, formerly of Montpelier,
died Sunday, May 13, 2012, in M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, with his loving
wife, Connie, at his side.
Bob was born March 18, 1949, in Burlington, to Joseph and Hilda Danaher.
Bob attended St. Michael's Elementary School and Montpelier High School.
He excelled in baseball at MHS, and went on to play college ball in Miami
and the University of South Alabama. He was an amateur draft pick for
the Houston Astros in 1967, but decided to further his education.
Shortly after college, he met the love of his life, Connie Hargroder of
Louisiana, to whom he was happily married for 40 years. He decided to
pursue his passion for music and developed a career in singing and song
writing. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and derived
his greatest joy from the love of his family. He was also an avid fisherman,
and a Green Mountain Boy at heart.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Connie (Hargroder) Danaher; mother,
Hilda Danaher of Milton; children, Brett and wife, Kristin, Ashley (Danaher)
Kaspar and husband, Jared, Ben Danaher, and daughter-in-law, Mindy Danaher;
brothers and sisters, Kathy Brousseau, Linda Morse, Joe Danaher, and David
Danaher; as well as four grandchildren, Peri Danaher, Lillian Danaher,
Brady Kaspar, and baby boy Kaspar. Bob was predeceased by his father,
Joseph Danaher Sr.; son, Kelly Danaher; and niece, Sarah Danaher.
The family would like to thank the oncology team and nursing staff of
M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for their compassionate care and help in Bob's
fight against cancer.
