Raymond J. D'Agrosa, 77, died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at the Barbara E. Cheung Hospice in Edison. Raymond was born in the Bronx to the late Felix D'Agrosa and Philomena Scarano. He had lived in Edison before residing in Iselin in 1972. Raymond worked for Columbus Shipping Line in Jersey City for many years as a Comptroller retiring in 1992. He served in the Army. Raymond was a communicant of St. Cecelia's R.C. Church in Iselin and was past president of their Senior Citizen Club. He loved sports; Bridge, Tennis - he even had season tickets to the Giants, Yankees and Rangers. He played in the AA Minor League Team for the Cincinnati Reds. Raymond coached his grandson's baseball team at Menlo Park Terrace.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elfrieda (Wittig) D'Agrosa; his daughter, Linda DiFabio of Metuchen; two brothers, Edward D'Agrosa of Queens, NY and Arthur D'Agrosa of Bronx, NY; two grandchildren, Brian and Glenn. He especially enjoyed his grand-dog "Bernie."

The funeral will be held on Monday, December 12th at 10:30 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen followed by a 11:15 am Mass of Resurrection at St. Cecelia's RC Church, Iselin. Visitation will be on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm in Metuchen funeral home. Everything will end at the church, cremation is private.
