Billy B. Crumley was born in Summit outside of Austin to Ben and Dovie Crumley, 10 September, 1927 and passed away in Kerrville on the 25th of June 2012.

After graduating from Austin High School Bill served in the Navy from 1945 to 1948. He then completed his undergraduate degree and a Masters of Business Administration at UT. He worked for UT as head of a cotton research project. Later he worked for Texas Tech in Lubbock as the head of a textile research program.

While at UT Bill was on the baseball team and later played semi-professional baseball in Austin and Midland-Odessa.

After surrendering to full-time ministry Bill and his wife Dearbelle established a nursing home ministry in the Austin area and pastored Methodist churches in Tolar and Waples while attending Bright Seminary in Fort Worth. They later founded churches in the Granbury and Oregon areas and finally established an RV Park mission ministry near Medina before retiring.

Bill is predeceased by his parents and three brothers and is survived by his wife Dearbelle, daughter Lisa Allen and husband Billy, son Preston Wiggington and stepson John Lowe, sister Wanda Mabry of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Grimes Funeral Home in Kerrville and burial will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Asbury Cemetery in Tolar.
