COFFEY, Joshua M., 24, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 3, 2008.

As a baseball coach, he touched hundreds of young lives by influencing them with his love for the game. Josh had played professionally with the Florida Marlins and Cincinnati Reds organizations.

Surviving are his parents, Michael W. and Leigh S. Coffey of Mechanicsville; loving sister, Dara; paternal grandmother, Charlotte H. Coffey; maternal grandparents, Chester and Evelyn Sheffer; uncle, Neil Coffey; aunts, Beth Waddell and Faith Boyle; and many friends.

Services will be Saturday, 3 p.m. at Faith Landmark Ministries, 8491 Chamberlayne Ave. Memorials may be made to your local animal humane society.
