Memory of Jack G. Cherry
Jack was a very proud father and grandfather. He had a very special love for his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. The bond and the memories created between “super grampy” and his grandchildren will last an eternity.
He started his career as a pro baseball player for the Cubs minor league and traveled around the country. He met his wife in New Mexico and fell in love. He asked her to marry him on a note that said check yes or no. 51 years later, through many trials, tribulations and happy times, their love is stronger than they ever knew was possible.
His whole life, Jack loved the game of golf and spent as much time as he could on the golf course. Golf was his passion and he was proud that all of his children shared his love for the game. He played into his eighties, until his health would no longer allow him to play, but even then, he was our coach. Some of our best memories of our dad are on the golf course.
Pall Bearers include Michael Alden, Brad Kendrick, Joey Oliver, JJ Oliver, Lee Garcia and Richard Cardera.
