B. Orb Carson
Born Jan. 16, 1927, he was a son of the late Ard B. and Ruth (Russler) Carson.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth J. (Narehood, Armstrong) Carson, who married on Aug. 2 1968; a son, Craig B. Carson, of Hesston; a daughter, Mrs. David (Bobbie Lynn) Montressor, of Spring Mills; a step-son, Jack L. Armstrong and wife Francene, of Milroy; a brother, Glen W. Carson, of Belleville; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Terry Lee Armstrong on May 5, 1978; a granddaughter, Jade A. Royer on April 9, 2008; an infant sister; and two brothers, Raymond and Fern Carson.
Robert graduated from Belleville High School in 1945.
He served in the United States Air Corps in World War II. He was a member of Belleville's VFW and the St. Johns Lutheran Church, Belleville.
Robert played baseball for nine years in Florida and Syracuse as a part of the Cincinnati's Reds' system.
He was retired from working as a time keeper at New Holland and a driver for CARS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. There will be no public viewing.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy, with the Rev. Gerald Peachey officiating.
