CAPOBIANCO John J.
"Cappa", age 85, of Paterson at rest in Paterson on March 4,
2008. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson his entire life.
He was a carpenter for General Motors, Englewood Cliffs for over 10 years
before retiring. After that, he worked for St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson
as a carpenter for more than 10 years.
Mr. Capobianco was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure's RC Church, Paterson.
He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council #240, Paterson and was
a Triple A Baseball player with the St. Louis Cardinals. He was inducted
into the Paterson Old Timers Hall of Fame.
Beloved husband of the former Louise D'Amelio of Paterson. Loving father
of John J. Capobianco Jr. and his wife, Ann of Albany NY and Lois J. Geary
and her husband, Timothy of Morris Plains. Grandfather of Daniel Capobianco.
Brother of Gloria Fico of Haskell and the late Barbara Vocaturo, Jane
Capobianco, and Marion Van Ess.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa
Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 8:30 AM.
Funeral mass to follow at St. Bonaventure RC Church, Paterson at 9:00
AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations
to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, PO Box 50 Memphis, TN 38101-0050 and/or
Make-A-Wish Foundation 1034 Salem Rd., Union, NJ 07083 would be appreciated.
