JESSE H. “Jack” CADE JR., former resident of Noxubee and Kemper
Counties, passed away on December 27, 2010 in Byhalia, Mississippi.
He was the son of the late Jesse and Grace Cade and brother of the late
Ray Cade. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Cade and survived
by his sister, Mildred Cade Mickler of Neptune Beach, Florida.
Jack was an avid sportsman and will be remembered as an outstanding athlete
in Mississippi, as he was signed by the Brooklyn Dodger Chain while playing
sandlot baseball. He went on to enjoy many years of successful Pro Baseball
as batting champion in the Florida State League, as well as a recipient
of all American Honors with the EMJC Lions and Coach Bull Sullivan , and
was inducted into the Amateur Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.
He will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him and who followed
his career with pride for so many unforgettable years. |
