in 1958.
After graduation, Bob signed with the Milwaukee Braves minor league baseball
team and played for them for four years. While playing baseball he met
his future wife, Dolores "De" Musgrove in Palatka, Fla., and
they were married Dec. 29, 1961, in Palatka, Fla., and to this union two
daughters were born.
After marriage, De and Bob returned to Mason City, where he worked for
the family business, Earl's Fruit Market. After its closing, he went to
work for the Iowa Lottery as a District Sales Representative; a position
he currently retained.
Bob had a passion for baseball in his younger years. In his older years,
his passion was for golf. In his free time you could often find him at
the Highland Park Golf Course.
He also liked following the local sports teams, attending and cheering
at games. He loved the times he spent on Big Sandy Lake, Minn., in his
younger years and the many years on Clear Lake. Bob loved spending time
with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, and he will
be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
