HAUGHTON, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Blaine Bumgardner, 75, of Haughton, LA will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 am at Bistineau Baptist Church in Heflin, LA.

Officiating will be Bro. Mike Welch and Bro. Mike Hawkins. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery in Ringgold, LA.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.

Mr. Blaine Bumgardner was born May 3, 1935 in Heflin, LA and went to be with The Lord December 4, 2010 at Life Care in Shreveport, LA following a short illness.

He was a deacon and long time member of Bistineau Baptist Church and was retired from Libby Glass. Mr. Bumgardner was an avid sportsman, he played minor league baseball and loved to golf.

He was a good Christian man that loved his family and friends and he was loved by many.
Mr. Bumgardner was preceded in death by his parents, U Z and Jeroline Perry Bumgardner; brother, Joe Bumgardner: and a sister, Jesolyn DelPapa.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Helen Bumgardner of Haughton, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Vickie Bumgardner of Grapevine, TX; daughters, Renee Murry of Little Elm, TX, Denise Flanery and her husband, Dempsey of Shreveport, LA and Charla Bumgardner of Haughton, LA; sister, Euzelia Chase of Shreveport, LA; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Sullivan, Dempsey Flanery, Larry Hedrick, Freddie Wiliford, Dale Hutchins, David Bumgardner, Bill Thomas, and Billy Morrow. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Bistineau Baptist Church, Jimmy Morrow, Kevin Sullivan, Trey Flanery and Cameron Flanery.
