Ralph James Buckingham

BUCKINGHAM, RALPH JAMES "BUCK" Ralph James "Buck" Buckingham of Lakeside, CA, passed away on September 4, 2009. He was born on April 5, 1931, in Chelan, WA.

He graduated from Hoover High in 1950, played professional baseball for seven years and enjoyed coaching Little League and other teams for many years.

Prior active member of La Mesa Optimists. Also an active member of Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church.

Ralph is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Helen Buckingham; three sons and their wives - Brian and Vicki of San Diego, Clay and Nancy of Greeley, CO, and Jay and Coleen of Greenville, NC; one grandson, Bradley, and seven granddaughters, Emily, Kelly, Amy, Melissa, Abby, Hannah and Addie.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church.
