Richard L. "Dick" Bonne, 90, died at 7:22 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Provena St. Anne Center. Born Sept. 23, 1920, in Rockford, the son of John and Anna (Schoknicht) Bonne.

While attending North Central College he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Dick was a pitcher in the Chicago White Sox farm league in 1941, 1945 and 1946. He farmed in the Monroe Center area for 40 years.

Survivors include wife, Dorothy; sons, Bruce (Debra) Bonne of Stillman Valley and Burdette (Mary) Bonne of Monroe Center; stepson, Ned (Leah) Junor; step-daughter, Cathleen Junor; grandchildren, Brooke (James) Adams and Brent Bonne; step-grandchildren, Scott and Peter Junor, Jessica (Mark) Mariani and Justin Hering.

Predeceased by brothers, John and George Bonne; and sisters, Genevieve Hoffman and Evelyn Bonne.

Private graveside service Monday, Nov. 8, in Monroe Center Cemetery, with the Rev. Sandi Olson Decker officiating. No visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Activity Center at Provena St. Anne Center or Northern Illinois Hospice Association.
