Laurence was reunited with his bride, Beverly, on Thursday, September 4, 2011. Laurence and his twin brother, Richard, were born on September 6, 1931, to David and Lydia Bolger.

He graduated from Fresno High School in 1949, and attended Fresno State University where he pitched for the Bulldogs and was a member of the Hall of Fame 1951 Baseball Team.

In 1952, he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals. After his baseball career was cut short by an elbow injury, Laurence began a 40 year career in the farming business.

At retirement, he continued to work selling real estate. Laurence was a member of the U. S. Army during the Korean War, and a member and Master Mason of the Selma Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by Beverly, his wife of 53 years; and his brothers, Leland and Richard.

He is survived by children, Norman Bolger, and his wife Lynn, David Bolger, and Laurie Ann Furin and her husband Joe; grandchildren, Michele Dillon, Breanne and Dylan Gault, Alyssa Furin, Katy Bolger, Laura Day; and great-grandchildren, Shelly and Carter.

A Memorial Service will be at New Covenant Community Church, 1744 E. Nees on Monday, September 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
