Blengino (Bob) passed away peacefully in his home in Foster City on May
3, 2012. Born in San Francisco on Feb.5,1927 to loving parents John and
Domenica Blengino. Bob graduated from Commerce High School and attended
St. Mary's College on a football scholarship.
He was a proficient athlete and pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies
in Idaho, the St. Louis Cardinals Minor League, Harrah's in Reno, SFFD
Team, and BIG REC Golden Gate Park Capital Cleaner. He was the quarterback
for Commerce High, St. Mary's, and the US Coast Guard in Alameda.
In 2010 he was inducted into the North Beach Marina Hall of Fame for Outstanding
He is a veteran of the US Coast Guard and retired Lieutenant for the San
Francisco Fire Dept.
Bob had a wonderful sense of humor & was a real prankster. He loved
magic and was quite the card shark.
Bob was a loving husband to two wives Connie for 47 yrs who passed away
in 1995. He was fortunate to marry Beverly and spent 12 yrs together.
He was a loving and devoted father to Lauri (Tony) Lottice and Diane (Ken)
Hettman. Bob loved his grandchildren dearly, Matthew and Kristin Lottice.
He was a loving uncle to his nephew, Roy Habenicht.
Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, May 9 from 4-9pm with a
Vigil Service at 7pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 10 at 11:30am at
St. Luke's Church, 1111 Beach Park Blvd., Foster City.
Burial to follow at the Italian Cemetery.
