N.W. "Barney"
Barnhill, 93, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in Keller. Graveside
service: 10 a.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Barney was born and raised in Cisco. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather and great-grandfather who was always there for his family.
Barney and Mayme were married for 71 years.
At the age of 16 he became a professional baseball player, scoring a home
run his first time at bat. He was retired from General Dynamics with over
30 years and was an avid scratch golf player, scoring five holes-in-one
in his golfing career.
Barney was a proud Mason for over 60 years.
Survivors: Wife, Mayme; daughters, Nancy Kearney and husband, Cecil, and
Linda Hatcher and husband, Woody; grandchildren, Randy Hatcher and wife,
Julie, Laura Lambert and husband, Damon, Kisa Kearney and Paul Kearney
and wife, Kay; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, James Barnhill.
