Ismet Baker

BAKER - Ismet, passed
away on June 8, 2009 at the age of 78. He was a beloved husband to his
wife, Helen for 39 years; brother to Sundus Catik, Abraham Baker and Sofia
Andrews; uncle (Jaja) to Ali Murat Catik, Donna Andrews, Ayse Wronski,
Kevin Baker, Warren Andrews, Diane Baker Milia, Christopher Zebuda, Craig
Zebuda and Kimberly Zebuda. Born and raised in Queens, New York.
He graduated from Boys High School where he excelled in academics and
baseball. He attended Champlain College and played professional baseball
at the same time. He later attended Fordham University where he received
his MBA in 1972.
After serving in the army for two years, he ultimately became interested
in real estate and successfully established many New York City businesses.
He leaves a legacy of accomplishments and will be truly missed for his
playful sense of humor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 12:00 noon in
the Club House, located at 4900 N.cean Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
