David passed away unexpectedly at his home in Clearlake, Ca. on Sun., Aug. 12, 2012. He was born at Brookside Hospital and grew up in El Sobrante. He graduated from De Anza High School in 1966. He was a gifted athlete and still holds several records there.

In 1967, while attending Contra Costa College, he signed a Professional Baseball Contract with the Pittsburg Pirates. He played pro-ball for 9 yrs. ending his career with the Chicago Cubs. He then lived in Rodeo until he retired and moved to Clearlake.

David is survived by his loving & caring children, Jennifer & Chris Arrington, step-children Ken (Janice) Rice & Julie (Eric) Ford, grandchildren Eric, Brianna & Jayden Robinson, step-grandchildren Robert & Rachelle Day & Zachary Rice, brothers Nick Arrington, Ken (Jeanne) Arrington & many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded by his parents Richard & Barbara Arrington & his brothers Jeff & Mike Arrington.

David was a loving father & grandfather who loved camping with his family & friends, fishing, playing baseball & golf until old sports injuries BENCHED him. He then watched from the sidelines, expecially enjoying his children & grandchildren's sporting events.

Friends & family are invited to a Memorial Service at St. Patrick's Church 825 7th St. in Rodeo on Sun., Sept. 30 at 3pm followed by a celebration of his life at Lefty Gomez Recreation Center, 470 Parker Ave., Rodeo.
