Armbruster, Richard E. Dick fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Friday, March 27, 2009. Beloved husband of Donna Armbruster; dear father of Susan (Jason) Herndon, Jill (David) Kehlenbrink, Ric (Lisa) Armbruster and Amy (Jerry) Fix; dearest Po of Jay, Scott, Allie, Betsy, Jordan, Haley and Andrew; dear brother of Robert, Gerald, Jeanne and the late Jack Armbruster; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and good friend to many.

Dick was a graduate of Southside High School (St. Mary's) and was drafted by the St. Louis Browns Baseball Club. Later he was traded to the Detroit Tigers Baseball Club where he pitched in the minor leagues. He was inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame. He was known as the Knuckleballer.

Dick was an active member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in his name has been established at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 68 Sherman Rd., 63125.

Services: Memorial Visitation at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Jefferson Barracks, Tuesday March 31, 10 a.m. until funeral Mass at 11 a.m. A KUTIS AFFTON Service.
