LEROY- Lee Anthony, 91, of LeRoy, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Life Care Center in Burlington, Kansas. He was born on July 26, 1918 in LeRoy, Kansas to Dewey and Anna Anthony.

As a young man, Lee was a professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Athletics. Later in life, he was a scout for professional baseball teams.

He served in the United States Army from 1944-1947. Lee married Aileen Goddard on July 26, 1943. They were married for 62 years. Lee was a member of the Masonic Lodge Neosho #27 in LeRoy, Kansas for 60 years.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen, who passed away in February of 2006; his parents, Dewey and Anna; and two brothers and one sister. G

raveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the LeRoy Cemetery, LeRoy, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Scholarship Fund, Neosho Lodge #27, LeRoy, Kansas.
