JOHN ALBERT ALLISON A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church for John A. Allison, 63, of Hemet. Reception following service at California Palms Restaurant. Inurnment is private.

John was born on February 24, 1944 in San Diego, CA, and he passed away December 7, 2007 in Phoenix, AZ. John lived in Hemet for 31 years.

He attended Crawford HS and San Diego State College in San Diego. He played in the Dodgers minor-leagues for two seasons. He taught PE and coached rugby, soccer, and basketball in Nairobi Kenya 1971 - 1976. He coached football at Mt San Jacinto College, and he coached girl's softball at Hemet HS. He was head baseball coach for Hemet HS. He retired from Hemet HS after 31 years of service in June 2007.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his daughters Shauna D. Allison and Tara K. Allison, his son Joshua S. Allison and his wife Lisa, and his two grandsons Curran and Noah. He is also survived by his mother Sue Allison, his brother Thomas Allison and his sister Mary Allison.
